JOOP! is a high-end German perfume house founded by Wolfgang Joop in 1978. The male fragrance JOOP! was selected in the early 90's as the preferred cologne for many Hollywood stars. The company is located in Germany's Rhineland, located just north of Cologne.

Joop is a perfume house first established in New York City in 1987 by Joseph Claus and Claus Porto. The position of the house was "designer pop". His first perfume, Joop! introduced in 1989, was based on eponymous male fragrance with lavender, lemon and woody base notes. In 1990s, it began to be sold in Europe and South America.
