The interplay between crisp freshness and powdery floral notes has been inspired by the natural beauty of the oriental black iris flower. It is a perfume that combines an accord of metallic violet leaves, rich in folklore tales and mysterious herbs like myrrh and labdanum. The floral heart embodies the contrast between balsam and amber which add warmth and sensuality; it blends with sweet notes of vanilla and resins that bring depth to balance out the iris' floral top notes. Finally, patchouli, cedar and agarwood (Oud) bring deep smoky accents.

Amouage introduces the first in a series of decanters for original creations. Each is designed as an overpainting of the original that filters the rich facets of the fragrance into a scent that is new and refined.
