Oud Essential by Guerlain is an aroma highlighted by a bouquet of fragrant woody, smoky and balsamic scented tones that will bring a mysterious, sensual and soft perfumed sensation. The fragrance is based on a combination of notes including fresh greens, oud, aromatic woods, floral accords, iris, spices, and leather. The fragrance composition is a creation of Thierry Wasser.

Guerlain's Oud Essential Eau de Parfum is a full-bodied fragrance that was created in collaboration with the Palace of Versailles. Its initial notes open in a scent of floral and spice before combining into a floral and woody heart center and finishing in an impression of frankincense created by mixing cedar and guaiac wood.

About Guerlain :

The world's leading perfume house, Guerlain, has always used luxurious and rare materials for its perfumes. This includes French vanilla or ylang-ylang from their own plantations in the Comoro Islands, for example. Bottles of all shapes and sizes from splashes to shower gels were produced for both men's and women's lines. After he died, his son Aime Guerlain became the main perfumer. Never one to be satisfied with the status quo, Jacques looked for ways to improve upon his father's creations. His famous perfume Jicky, created in 1889, became the first "modern" perfume. In 2002, the family legacy ended with Jean-Paul Guerlain's retirement, though he continues to work for the house as a consultant. Thierry Wasser was named the official in-house perfumer of Guerlain in 2008. The flagship Guerlain boutique in Paris was restored and reopened in June 2005. The house at the magic address 68 Champs Elyses, now not only a boutique and the main office but a museum as well, welcomes customers once again.
