The house of Guerlain was founded in 1828 when Pierre-Francois Pascal Guerlain opened his perfume store in Paris. The store became internationally renowned, thanks to the presence of Pierre-Francois' sons Aime and Gabriel, who succeeded their father upon his death in 1864.
