Vera Wang is an American fashion designer. She is most famous for her bridal gowns and is considered one of the leading princess dress designers in the world. Wang originally trained as a figure skater and competed professionally, but when she didn't make the Olympics team, she left the sport and entered the fashion industry, becoming Vogue's youngest editor ever, at age 23. Wang left Vogue in 1985 and worked as a design director for Ralph Lauren before starting her own company two years later.

Vera Wang has expanded her brand to include eyewear, shoes, fur, home goods and ready-to-wear. Fragrances are offered in conjunction with Coty. The first fragrance, signature Vera Wang for women, was introduced in 2002. A companion men's scent was launched in 2004.
