About The Brand:

Mauboussin is a French company that was founded in 1827 by M. Rocher and J. Noury. Today, the company is managed by the 5th generation of descendants that has built a reputation for creating timeless jewellery pieces with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and attention to detail. Mauboussin remains a family-run business, which employs around 600 people worldwide.

The story of Mauboussin began with the vision of sawyer Joseph Noury who decided to devote his life to gem cutting instead of becoming a priest, as had been planned. In the aftermath of the French Revolution, Joseph left his hometown of Saint-Jean-d'Angely to settle in Paris where he took up a position with an Italian master gem cutter, Rocher. With his new mentor, Joseph perfected the art and craft of gem cutting and eventually established his own business making "cameo rings".

Since the release of its first fragrance, Mauboussin for women, was released by the brand in 2000, there has been no looking back. All new fragrances are given names inspired by the company's cultural heritage and modernity. The Mauboussin brand also boasts boutiques in other parts of the world including the US and Europe.
