The house of Guerlain was founded in 1828 when Pierre-Francois Pascal Guerlain opened his perfume store in Paris. The store became internationally renowned, thanks to the presence of Pierre-Francois' sons Aime and Gabriel, who succeeded their father upon his death in 1864. The two brothers worked together to create classic fragrances for the house of Guerlain, including Mouchoir de Monsieur (1870) and L'Heure Bleue (1905).
