The first Material was an ode to the raw material of perfume. It expressed the elements from which fragrances are made, from light materials such as pure oils, to heavier ones such as Benzoin, Patchouli and Incense. New Material is a reinterpretation of the initial concept. In this case, it is a generous and comforting representation of darkness. The generous notes of Amber Vanilla have been transformed by a potent infusion of darkness captured in Guaiac Wood, Agarwood and Osmanthus Absolute merged with a touch of freshness contributed by Aldehydes and Lime accords

The very clear delineation between the light and dark facets of vanilla and the fact that all of them remain in their own territory is what gives this scent its rigour and precision.
