The scent is a oriental-woody fragrance designed for men and women, though some people are known to use the perfume for a casual, subtle scent or out on an evening. 

Carner Barcelona's Cuirs (which means "leather" in French) is a leather fragrance with top notes consisting of saffron and caraway; mid notes of sandalwood, guaiac wood, patchouli, Virginia cedar and violet; and base notes of agarwood, leather, tonka bean, labdanum, musk, amber, Cypriol oil (cypriol oil is a product obtained from the steam distillation of the needles and leaves of the small cypress tree Cupressus sempervirens), and Nagarmotha (also known as Nagarmotha eo or Perfume Tree).
